Greece - Mykonos

June 2019

Another project I had the privilege of working on with Daniel Popper installing and finishing Leto at the incredibly well designed beach, bar, club Scorpios on Mykonos.

Leto is a goddess from ancient Greek mythology who birthed two of Zeus' children Apollo and Artemis who are represented in the pregnant belly of this walk in sculpture by the two hanging lights.

Again the form of this sculpture was shipped from Danny's workshop in parts which we assembled and added more detail to pinning and lashing with rattan more layers of willow that we soaked in the sea to the piece giving her more feminine flow on the outside and a more dynamic weave on the inside.

This was commissioned for the Eternal festival at Scorpios and will stay for at least the season.
